Konten’s Industrial EN50155 series switch is featured with TTDP (Train Topology Discovery Protocol) function which simplify the network structure and enable efficient maintenance process. TTDP enables railway systems to perform network configuration tasks automatically without operator intervention. When carriages are changed or rearranged, the switch in the head carriage will negotiate with the switches. In addition, it will assign a new IP address based on the new arrangement of the trains to the Ethernet Train Backbone Node and Ethernet Consist Network. Accordingly, man-made errors could be reduced for safer train operations by the TTDP feature.
